About Cell Surveys

The app

Cell Surveys: Signal Heatmap maps your cell signal as you go. Every reading lands on a live heatmap, Everyone's coverage shows a crowd-sourced map built from everyone's readings, and surveys are kept so you can replay them or export them. It came out on Google Play in March 2026 and on the App Store later that month. The app is free and has no ads; an optional subscription, Cell Surveys Pro, adds parcels and mileage.

It is built for anyone who wants to know where signal is good and where it is not: at home, at a house before you move in, along a drive, or around a site where a small cell is going up. On Android it records measured signal values, including RSRP, RSRQ, SINR, and the serving cell's PCI and cell ID. iOS does not let apps read those, so the iPhone app records the network type and estimates the level. The Android and iPhone comparison lists every difference.

Who makes it

Cell Surveys is published by Dwas Woot LLC of Goodyear, Arizona, the developer named on both store listings. The company also runs this website.

Who writes the guides

The guides are written by Eli Trevino, who builds the Cell Surveys apps for iPhone and Android.

How the guides are checked

• What a guide says the app does is checked against the iPhone and Android apps themselves. Where the iPhone app cannot do something the Android app can, the guide says so.
• Figures that come from elsewhere, such as typical building material losses or what another app can measure, are published ranges or what that app's own listing or documentation says, and comparisons are dated.
• Every guide shows the date it was last updated.
